WHO IS LASLO

My Professional Journey

Hi, I’m Laslo van den Broek! I was born and raised in Amersfoort The Netherlands and spent a significant time in the south of Holland, but I truly matured in Hong Kong. It was in Hong Kong that my journey took an exciting turn and my passion for Internet truly began.

My fascination with the digital world was first sparked by "Internet in a Box," the first off-the-shelf internet solution. This curiosity led me to learn programming with pure HTML and CSS, and I quickly became captivated by Flash Macromedia, where my passion for web development truly blossomed.

Upon returning to the Netherlands, I joined Loods 5 as a eCommerce Expert. There, I led the development of the first eCommerce platform for all Loods 5 vendors, marking a major milestone in my career. This experience solidified my focus on eCommerce, particularly in CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) and Technical SEO. With my company, Sjoege Web Industries, I successfully help brands grow their online (eCommerce) presence.

To stay ahead in the industry, I completed various studies from renowned leaders such as Atlassian, SemRush, and Frankwatching. Currently, I’m delving into the world of AI, continuously pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in eCommerce and digital marketing.

Did you know my name comes from the name László? László (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈlaːsloː]) is a Hungarian male given name and surname, originating from King-Knight Saint Ladislaus I of Hungary (1077–1095).

Laslo is an accomplished e-commerce manager and Technical SEO specialist with 15 years of experience in the e-commerce industry.

Throughout my career, I have successfully managed and optimized both large and small projects, leveraging his expertise to drive growth and improve online performance.

As I mentioned earlier I work for Loods5.nl where I build together with a team the first Dutch Vendor plaza model for all the Loods 5 vendors. Something to be proud of but after 7 years of dedication it was time to spread my wings and start my own company called Sjoege Web Industries als better known as Sjoege.

So what do I do? Well via my company I help small to midsized companies to grow their online presence. It could be having better online visibility (Branding) or having a webshop converting better and in a more efficient way. One of the projects I'm working on right now as we speak is werkkleding.nl. One of the largest Dutch online workwear suppliers.
